We began working toward sustainability twelve years ago through the simple act of cleaning our home beach and conducting impromptu environmental classes for the children in remote villages. The Eco Vida Non-Profit Organization was formally founded 10 years ago on the idea of helping those who will become tomorrows environmental advocates.
Our past work includes activities as varied as building low impact stoves and composting toilets for rural villages, conducting habitat restoration and reforestation projects, organizing habitat studies, and geo mapping activities. We include a short hands-on environmental lesson in each of our events to help inspire the next generation of environmental stewards. It is all part of how we execute an overall environmental management plan incorporating our five on-going programs.
We coordinate efforts with local business leaders, other non profits and government agencies who share our vision for long term sustainability through activism, sustainable design, clean technology and education. We are happy to report that our list of partner organizations is growing rather quickly and includes some national consumer brand companies who sincerely want to be part of a bright future!
We run public environmental education classes and beach clean up events every other week. We strive to improve our programs for the environment each day. Our team is made up of volunteers and we are especially happy when we find new volunteers who share our passion. Let's work together! Please contact us at the numbers below.
